Cancellations

At Austin Jetski, we understand that plans may change unexpectedly. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to both our customers and our business operations. Please review the following guidelines regarding cancellations:

  1. Cancellation Period: Cancellations must be made within a 24 hour time frame prior to the scheduled rental start time. The cancellation period and any associated fees are outlined below:
    • Standard Rentals: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the rental date qualify for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be refunded at 50%.
    • Peak Season or Special Events: Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the rental date qualify for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be refunded at 25%.
  2. Cancellation Procedure: To cancel your reservation, please contact us as soon as possible using the contact information provided on our website or booking confirmation. Please provide your reservation details for expedited processing.
  3. Refunds: Refunds for cancellations made within the cancellation period will be processed using the original payment method. Please allow 7-14 business days for the refund to reflect in your account.
    • Safety Deposit Refund
      • Deposit Requirement: The Renter shall provide a safety deposit in the amount of $250 prior to taking possession of the jet ski. This deposit is intended to cover any potential damages to the jet ski or equipment, late returns, or breaches of this Rental Agreement.
      • Inspection and Condition: Prior to the rental period, the Renter agrees to participate in a comprehensive walkthrough and inspection of the jet ski with an authorized representative of the Owner. The condition of the jet ski will be documented, with any pre-existing damages noted in the rental agreement.
      • Return Inspection: Upon conclusion of the rental period, the Owner or an authorized representative will inspect the jet ski to assess its condition. The Renter is encouraged to be present during this inspection.
      • Refund Conditions:
        • The Safety Deposit will be fully refunded to the Renter within 1-7 business days following the end of the rental period, provided that the jet ski is returned on time, undamaged, in the same condition as when it was rented, and with all accompanying equipment accounted for and undamaged.
        • In the event the jet ski is returned with damages not previously documented, or there are missing items from the accompanying equipment, the cost of repair or replacement will be deducted from the Safety Deposit. The Owner will provide an itemized invoice detailing the deductions made from the Safety Deposit.
        • Should the costs of repairs, replacement, or additional services such as cleaning exceed the Safety Deposit, the Renter agrees to pay all additional costs within 30 days of receiving the invoice.
      • Disputes: If the Renter disputes any deductions made from the Safety Deposit, they must notify the Owner in writing within 7 days after receiving the itemized invoice. The Owner and Renter will make reasonable efforts to resolve the dispute amicably. If the dispute is unresolved, the parties agree to settle the dispute through mediation before seeking any other legal remedies.
      • Non-refundable Circumstances: The Safety Deposit will not be refunded if the Renter:
        • Fails to return the jet ski at the agreed-upon time and date without prior notification and approval from the Owner.
        • Uses the jet ski in a manner that violates the terms of this Rental Agreement or local, state, and federal laws.
  1. Late Cancellations or No-Shows: Cancellations made outside of the specified cancellation period or no-shows will not be eligible for a refund. The full rental amount will be charged to the payment method on file.
  2. Weather-Related Cancellations: In the event of inclement weather or unsafe water conditions, we may cancel or reschedule rentals for the safety of our customers. Weather-related cancellations made by Austin Jetski will be eligible for a full refund or rescheduled booking.
  3. Exceptions: We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and we are open to considering exceptions to our cancellation policy on a case-by-case basis. However, please note that not all situations may qualify for an exception. We will carefully review each request and determine whether it meets our criteria for consideration. Examples of potential exceptions include documented medical emergencies, documented travel disruptions, or other extenuating circumstances beyond the customer's control.
